1. Types of Admission
Aastha Hospital facilitates two primary types of inpatient admissions:
- Planned (Elective) Admission: Recommended by your consulting doctor following an outpatient evaluation for scheduled surgeries, medical management, or diagnostic monitoring.
- Emergency Admission: Immediate hospitalisation initiated through our 24x7 Emergency & Trauma Centre for acute medical conditions, trauma, or urgent clinical stabilization.
2. Essential Checklist of Documents
To ensure smooth registration and admission, please carry the following documents:
- Doctor's Admission Advice / Prescription note.
- Valid Government-issued Photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, or Passport) for the patient and attendant.

- For Insurance/TPA Patients: Health insurance card, policy document, corporate employee ID, and pre-authorisation forms.
3. Registration & Room Selection
Upon arriving at the Admission Desk in the main reception area, our coordinators will assist you with filling out the admission consent forms and selecting your preferred accommodation category (subject to availability):
- General Ward: Well-ventilated shared accommodation with dedicated nursing oversight and shared washroom facilities.
- Semi-Private Room: Twin-sharing room with privacy partitions, dedicated attendant seating, and television.
- Private Room: Individual air-conditioned room offering complete privacy, attached bathroom, attendant couch, television, and personalized care.

4. Insurance & Cashless Coordination
If you are planning to utilize cashless health insurance, visit our Insurance / TPA Helpdesk immediately upon admission with your policy details and medical papers. Our team will initiate the pre-authorisation request with your insurance provider or Third-Party Administrator.
5. Inpatient Care & Daily Routine
During your stay, your clinical team will conduct regular morning and evening rounds. Medications, meals, and diagnostic tests will be scheduled by your attending clinician and nursing officers. Please inform nursing staff immediately of any sudden changes in symptoms or pain levels.
6. Attendant Guidelines & Hospital Protocols
- Attendant Pass: One attendant is permitted to stay with the patient in private and semi-private rooms. For general wards and ICUs, attendant entry is regulated to prevent overcrowding and maintain hygiene.
- Personal Belongings: Please bring essential personal toiletries and clothing. Avoid bringing large sums of cash, expensive jewellery, or valuable electronics.
- No Smoking / No Tobacco: Aastha Hospital is a strictly smoke-free and tobacco-free healthcare campus.
