1. Prioritizing Patient Healing & Rest
Visits from family members and close friends offer emotional comfort to recovering patients. However, adequate rest, infection control, and undisturbed medical care are critical for healing. We request all visitors to adhere to our visitation policies and support our care teams in maintaining a safe, peaceful clinical environment.
2. General Ward & Room Visiting Arrangements
Visiting hours are organized to balance patient comfort and clinical rounds. Please contact the hospital reception or your floor nursing desk upon arrival to confirm current visiting schedules and ward access.
- Visitors are requested to keep their visits brief (15 to 20 minutes) to allow patients sufficient rest.
- Only one or two visitors are permitted at the bedside at any given time to prevent overcrowding.
- Children below the age of 12 years are discouraged from visiting inpatient wards for their own health and safety, except under special clinical circumstances.
3. Intensive Care Unit (ICU & NICU) Visitation Rules
Due to the critical medical condition of patients and the high need for sterility in Intensive Care Units, visitation is strictly regulated:
- Only one primary attendant is permitted inside the ICU during designated clinical briefing hours.
- Visitors must sanitize their hands, wear provided shoe covers/masks, and follow all nurse instructions before entering the ICU.
- Mobile phones must be turned off or switched to silent mode before entering critical care areas.
4. Attendant Passes & Responsibilities
- At the time of admission, an official Attendant Pass is issued to the patient's primary caregiver.
- Attendants must carry and display this pass while moving through hospital premises, entering wards, or accessing dining and pharmacy areas.
5. Essential Visitor Etiquette & Hygiene
- Hand Hygiene: Sanitize your hands before entering and after leaving the patient's room.
- Do Not Visit When Ill: If you are suffering from a cough, cold, fever, eye infection, or contagious illness, please refrain from visiting hospital inpatients.
- Outside Food & Flowers: Outside cooked food, unpackaged snacks, and fresh flowers are not permitted in inpatient areas to prevent bacterial contamination.
- Quiet Environment: Maintain low speaking volumes, avoid loud phone conversations, and respect the privacy of neighboring patients.
- Strictly Smoke & Tobacco Free: Smoking, chewing tobacco, betel nut (paan/gutkha), and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited anywhere on hospital premises.
